To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 基本上日日中午都幫襯叉燒油雞飯,但近排叉燒水準真係慘不忍睹,一食落口有強烈獵肉怪味,而且非常硬,已向職員提過反映,但沒改善,可能每人口味不同,但變成獵肉味叉燒而沒有本身燒味的叉燒,最後食埋今天,真的不會再點了。因為每次幫襯都是為了吃太興的叉燒,基本上每天雅蘭太興職員都認得我,希望會反映比上面,現在太興的叉燒比起囍運冰室,九龍餐室的叉燒差了一大截,而且是80蚊一個叉油雞飯。所以若太興沒改善,看來我也要換地方吃午餐。香港現在餐飲已經難做,希望 貴公司能保持質素。
