To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 行街和出外食飯是每週定指動作一次的。今晚約了ERB同學在旺角揾食,行經煙廠街畀一個富有舊式戲院風格嘅餐廳門面吸引住, 再睇睇原來係食火鍋嘅, 價錢尚算就入去幫襯。集冰室和火鍋店於一身的懷舊食館有傳統既摺枱、橙紅色既櫈、方形地磚。服務員引領我們上樓,一個個舊式嘅火水爐排列得齊整做裝飾。60年代嘅地磚再加香港既背景,真係有種回到舊時既香港!火鍋258套餐呢個係半任食套餐,除左雞同海鮮拼盤外,其他都可以加潻和汽水任飲。首先是一碟前菜小食 以為係啲咩花生、酸菜, 原來係魚蛋 + 懷舊炸魚球,都幾得意。招牌鮑魚麻辣雞煲 (定座敬送) 我們揀選了小辣,雞煲上枱後要再煮5分鐘先可享用。雞件醃得濃味.. 雞件肉夠鮮嫩, 鮑魚亦無令人失望;而且雞煲份量真係好大,食完已經覺得有少少飽啦! 芫茜皮蛋鍋時令海鮮拼盤 (鮮蝦, 廣島蠔,脆肉鯇和花甲)D海鮮新鮮度唔錯,蝦較大和花甲好肥美。安格斯牛任食打邊爐必點美國安格斯牛!牛味香濃。黑毛豬豬肉片食落騷味唔算重。生菜皇帝菜娃娃菜甜品最後送上甜品:紅豆雜果涼粉~。
