To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 好耐冇食中菜,放工諗住去翠園食晚飯。坐低諗住叫定餸等屋企人嚟到有得食,7:0X pm 已入單, 等左十幾分鐘有個燒味上(豉油雞)。等到呆左,無影相。食完又等,等緊嘅時侯諗住再叫多兩個餸,其中一個餸就係鐵板叉燒,踮着個鐵板嗰啲叉燒好熱既,但面嗰幾舊就微暖⋯之後開始叫侍應幫手跟單,第一次問,個女侍應話等’我入去睇吓‘,之後嚟攞埋張菜單行去問人; 又過咗10分鐘,我問另一個女侍應,佢係近門口方向攞左我哋張單入嚟,話跟緊。 我哋都好奇怪點解張單會擺咗係第二度? 咁之前個侍應攞去問邊個呢? 之後有個部長經過,我哋話埋單,唔等啦,轉頭就有一個餸出嚟,佢仲問我哋食唔食埋呢個餸先,未出嚟嘅餸取消,我哋話唔要啦,唔再等啦。我睇返張單,7:10 已出哂單,8:00 只出得兩個餸,再等唔知等到幾多點以前去過尖沙咀翠園好多次都無咁嘅情況,Yoho 呢間真係唔會再嚟,食物選擇唔係好多,d 人態度懶懶閒(見好多食評都唔好),係商場食預左唔平,平時去王子食都未試過咁勞氣! 以後都唔敢再嚟食嘢!
