To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 荃灣區內有兩家陶源酒家,一家在如心廣場,一家在商廈區內,位置甚為隱祕。只是在附近上班老公說,這一帶無啖好食,除了茶餐廳外,陶源酒家已是不錯的選擇。 陶源酒家的格調高貴而華麗,敞亮的特高樓底,舒適的沙發卡座,完全是為商務客戶而設的。光顧晚市的人不多,這也不稀奇,對工商區而言午市是黃金期,晚市水靜河飛已是見怪不怪了。除了帝皇蟹、鮑魚、龍蝦一類貴價菜式外,小菜屬中價水平,消費不算太高。  鮑魚雞煲($188)不到二百元就能吃到鮑魚實在是吸引。上桌前,侍應在客人面前倒進沙煲裏熱炒才上桌。用上新鮮鮑魚和雞件,用料不馬虎。爆炒的關係,金黃色的雞件脆身得很,肉質滑嫩,切片鮮鮑魚爽身,那醬汁充滿沙薑片、紅蔥頭的香氣,是挺惹味的一道。  一哥叉燒($108)老公說每次光顧必點燒味。用上半肥瘦的梅頭叉燒,口感非常軟稔,燒得香口蜜味又足,很有水準。腐乳通菜炒牛肉($88)很家常的一道炒菜,腐乳不夠香口,牛肉欠肉香,用的是粗身通菜,食味平平。 陶源酒家位置是偏遠了點,既然同區有另一家分店,也不必特地前往,若然路過,這家會是商廈內的不俗選擇。
