To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 打電話問定早餐去到幾點,明明話11:00前。但10:30去到,就話未必有,我話打佐黎問,就同我講要12:00前走,因為要做午餐。入到去,話某d枱已消毒,唔可以坐。不斷問食乜早餐,然後大叫同事快點整⋯其實我都只係想食個早餐啫⋯⋯如果唔想做早餐做到咁晏,就唔好同人講啦⋯⋯食物質素就一般架嘞,不過打住社企旗號,就實有客嘅。坦白講,呢到所謂嘅一般職員,無論工作態度同說話技巧,都唔ok,一幅我係社企黎架,你話我投訴我呀嘅態度
