To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 一肚氣,未試過食咁柴燒味飯當晚點了個叉雞飯,套餐有碟菜有杯飲品,$51叉燒乾到似肉乾,切雞衰到無味,碟菜賣點零分老實講,唔係肚餓,真係起身走人班店員好快手,由坐低到食飯,五分鐘燒味飯就係勝在時間快點知食咗一半,有個女店員行埋嚟話要埋數,要我埋單我唔理佢,咪玩,佢重複一次後,我抬頭同佢講:轉頭先你趕收工關我咩事?轉頭,個小姐轉身大嗌經理,話我唔埋單,廿秒後,一位年紀有咁上下的阿姐行埋嚟講同一番說話,話佢哋要埋數,要我埋單,同樣地,答佢轉頭先,因為我碟飯仲有兩口就完成點知個阿姐夠膽死大嗌,經理,唔埋呀,爭呢張咋經理精叻醒目,無行埋嚟,因為我實出聲小爆,究竟係咩服務呢?坐唔夠十分鐘催埋單,仲要$51俾碟超柴超唔掂的燒味飯你食?!到真係食完,都係用多一兩分鐘,起身孭袋,之前個阿姐衝埋嚟隊張單俾我,係咁話$51 $51,我知我知,我會去櫃枱埋單,個阿姐的態度有問題,唔係見攰,我諗我會鬧爆佢呢間燒味店,一定唔會再去食
