My friend ordered a Hojicha cake for my birthday and is was so rich in flavor that I couldn’t fall asleep at night (I ate the cake at around 830pm and I couldn’t sleep until almost 2am. I also don’t drink coffee so I’m probably more sensitive to caffeine, but my other friend who drinks coffee also couldn’t sleep due to the cake😂) Anyway, this is a compliment, as the cake is so creamy and rich in flavor. The mochi and chocolate crunch embedded in the cake is a good texture contrast with the soft chiffon cake. The staff was very kind and gave my friend extra boxes and plastic films to take the remaining pieces home in case we could not finish the cake.
