To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 週五下班路過屯市,想吃頓晚餐也不容易。不少餐廳門外已有人龍,惟獨翡翠拉麵小籠包仍有位子。  有一段時間沒有光顧此店了,帶位員沒有查問下就帶我倆到鄰鋪的翡翠小廚,雖然可點的菜式都是一樣,但最少也應問一下客人意願吧。  看過兩邊的餐牌,邊主打上海菜,一邊主打港式粉麵。還是不點麵食了,隨意點了些主食、冷盤和點心。  鎮江肴肉老公愛吃的關係,吃過不少精緻的肴肉。 相比之下,這肴肉無論是用料或味道都相當一般。用的不是原片肉而是咸肉碎,賣相差了一截,肉也太稔身了。湯凍爽口得過了頭,沒有高湯的味道,口感更像在吃魚膠粉做的湯凍,不推介。  鱔糊炒拉麵黃鱔絲份量不少,混入韮王與芽菜,與拉麵同炒。黃鱔絲當然不會是鮮貨,但口感嫩身,不過魚味較淡薄。 炒拉麵用上濃甜的醬油同炒,味道像上海粗炒,不過拉麵幼身又彈牙,掛滿汁醬,比上海粗炒更佳,味道十分不俗。 菜肉雲吞湯底用上金華火腿,也有一點味精。一客六顆,雲吞似乎是擱了一段時間,雲吞皮有點黏糊,白菜鮮肉餡有點死實,欠肉香,只屬一般而已。煎窩貼窩貼底部煎得微微金黃,再煎久一點便更佳。外皮口感一般吧,內餡有點點肉汁流出,感覺比雲吞的肉餡新鮮,算是不錯吧。作為連鎖飲食

為求各店味道一致,或要迎合大眾的口味,
原味似乎漸漸地被淡去了,感覺就是一頓尋常的晚飯,再無風味可言了。
