We had been very impressed by 馬六 Laksa so that we decided to come again, although it was the first time for us to visit this branch in Fortress Hill. This restaurant was just 2 streets away from MTR station. Very quickly we decided that we should order a 海南雞喇沙摻摻 at $66 and 新加坡魚片喇沙摻摻 at $62. I was so impressed that they offered so many combos on their lunch sets so that we could try both Hainanese chicken and Laksa at the same time. What a great combo indeed! The Laksa soup smelt and tasted so goo

The Laksa soup smelt and tasted so good. It was so concentrated with very rich flavour of coconut milk of the right degree of spiciness yet not overly oily. For the 海南雞喇沙摻摻, there were about 7 pieces of chicken and we could still tell that they were so rich in chicken flavour with the perfect fresh chicken texture which were not masked by the soup. There were a few pieces of tofu puffs in the soup. Unlike many other restaurants, the noodles were a mixture of chewy yellow noodles with thin white rice noodles, and the portion of which was so generous. Last but not the least, the half soft-boiled egg was quite good too.

Last time I had the Laksa with prawn so this time I chose to do away with the prawn to see how it was in this 新加坡魚片喇沙摻摻. The 3 white fishballs and the deep-fried fish ball slices were reasonably chewy and fresh. There were also two not-so-tiny clams in the Laksa. It was a good choice too.

We topped up our set by $18 to get this 南洋咖央多士. We chose 班蘭 among durian and egg yolk. The toasts were super crispy and there was a thick slice of butter with sufficient amount of 班蘭 jam so that the whole thing was very nice, satisfying my desire for sweets.

We topped up one of our sets to get 鮮柚子沙冰. It was so giant and there were real yuzu skin in the ice! There were loads of ice and it was not overly sweet or artificial at all. Very good for your throat after eating something spicy. It was highly recommended indeed. For the other set, we didn't top it up but just ordered a hot Milo. It was included in the set and quality was reasonably good.

For those Laksa lovers, you really should come and try. Other food items we tried today were also nice too. 絕對有下次!
