To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 香港店都可以吃到日本正宗和牛。呢道既牛係佐賀和牛,係九州地區高品質既和牛,既然一場黎到,仲要等左咁耐,就一定要叫日本和牛,因為其他牛肉大部分地方都可以食到。和牛我揀左西冷和薄燒月見和牛,A5級既西冷雪花紋路好靚,油脂都好豐富,烤既時候一定要小心,油脂滴入爐中會有火花,燒大概7分熟,只需要加一點點海鹽和黑胡椒就可以最大程度發揮出牛肉既香,而且非常嫩,小朋友都食到。薄燒月見和牛,同樣係A5級別,切得好薄,輕輕一燒就熟,配上生雞蛋同甜豉油調,味道好有層次,好好食。生蠔,蠔肉好新鮮,用錫紙盒加黃油燒,得D蠔肉變得更鮮甜,更香口。黑胡椒蜜糖豚肉,揀左豬五花,用黑胡椒同蜜糖醃入味,將五花肉既油脂不斷燒,配上韓式辣醬,入口香而不膩,香甜可口。燒栗米同蘑菇都好好食,素菜必點呢兩樣。再叫左一份拉麵同韓式辣豆腐湯。拉麵係日式傳統豚骨拉麵,有水煮蛋同叉燒,叉燒半肥瘦,水煮蛋夠流心,都好好食,連湯都冇剩。韓式辣豆腐湯有D魚肉同蜆,令個豆腐湯增加左鮮味,再加一碗飯,辣辣地既湯配飯好開胃。
