To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 與友人飲茶,點心怎會叫得少,到潮江春正合朕意。點心紙分有潮式及港式點心,式式俱備。餐前小食醃味菜勁大兜,味菜腍腍酸酸的,開胃之至。花生很少,青瓜青澀,可以不要。潮式點心叫了芋絲炸春卷、蔥油糯米卷、潮州粉果和香煎韭菜棵。春卷芋香撲鼻、潮州粉果很潮州、煎韭菜棵更是香到無影,頂呱呱。港式點心有蝦餃、蟹肉節瓜甫、蝦醬蒸鮮魷及百花煎釀三寶。蝦餃又大隻又爽口,非常好吃。節瓜甫的蟹肉是在湯汁裡面的,我們連湯也喝光。首推蝦醬蒸鮮魷,蝦醬味濃,每口魷魚都夾雜著鹹香,令人回味不已。煎釀三寶以蝦肉代替魚肉,更爽更惹味。向來都甚是喜愛潮江春的雙面黃,現在有迷你版,飲茶時人少少都可以叫。麵餅煎得脆而不乾,下層的麵還是濕潤的,放了韭王令食味更香,小人愛蘸些醋蘸些豉油,是最佳拍檔。絕對有水準的潮州菜,欠的只是以前來吃飯後必定有的功夫茶。
