鑽石冰室在彩虹邨有四十多年的時間, 從門口的招牌已見到它的風塵樸樸, 內裡裝修則比較現代化, 原來它十年多前曾經結業再重開, 從水吧上的”Diamond Cafe”也可以感受冰室的歷史性呢!菜式就是一般茶餐廳所吃到的, 如常餐, 炒粉麵飯及焗飯/意粉. 晚餐吃的是白汁焗海鮮飯, 連餐湯及餐茶$50也不用, 很久也沒有吃一餐晚飯如此便宜. 焗海鮮飯配料豐富, 除了大大塊魚柳外, 也有大量蟹柳和獅子狗, 就是從前小時候吃的. 上枱的時候還是相當熟燙, 見到白汁支支作響的形態, 就知道這碟焗飯是剛剛從焗爐拿來的. 味道相當熟悉, 炒飯口感不會過於濕潤, 保持着飯粒層次分明的形態. 附上的餐湯是赤小豆紅蘿蔔煲豬骨湯, 在這濕熱的夏天, 是去濕的湯品, 真材實料沒有味精, 這樣的價錢, 我還能要求更多嗎?Diamond Cafe has been stayed at Choi Hom Estate for more than 40 years. Diamond Cafe has been stayed at Choi Hom Estate for more than 40 years. She is not a luxurious cafe and focuses on traditional HK style food that is very affordable. My dinner is baked seafood rice. It only costs less than $50 with soup and drink. The baked rice is hot enough and can full my tummy completely. What I can expect for more!
