To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 其實一般大型連鎖食肆我都好少寫食評嘅,因為通常質素都相對穩定,特別係早餐通常相對真係冇咩好講,而且相較之下我寧願晒啲心機去寫一啲比較細嘅舖頭,感覺上會比較有價值。但係今次嘅體驗真係應該係連鎖食肆黎講接近最差嘅體驗。最近好多舖頭都唔開啦,朝早中環更加係咁,咁就諗住求其食個早餐啦,首先嘢飲送錯,嘢食都係送錯,然後個扎肉米粉冇咗塊扎肉…其實都係得個一塊扎肉,碗米粉數埋其實都冇幾多樣材料都可以咁…雖然都冇幾多台客都可以係咁錯。不過算,但係佢補番塊扎肉俾我嗰陣,可唔可以係咁煮煮佢?成塊啲扎肉係凍㗎,真係唔知想點。然後睇返碗米粉,呢個嘢真係可以拎出嚟比佢個客嘅咩,首先個賣相就已經幾唔開胃,我一度懷疑係咪人哋食剩嘅。OK,我哋唔好睇樣,青豆裏面凍嘅,呢個係咩玩法?真係成件事感覺好差,雖然都唔會有乜嘢好嘢,但係呢個標準會唔會太低?講埋服務啦,我感受嗰度啲職員應該都幾唔開心,不過都係算啦,連鎖茶記黎姐
