To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今天去了三聯看了將近1小時的書,可惜書價是一天比一天貴!最後打完書釘,就在灣仔尋找晚餐,原本是想去海記/惠記吃咖哩,但8點,店都老關門了!在灣仔春園街附近,不想吃新景園,路經南記粉麵,見價錢相宜就坐下來了,自助形式經營,點了四寶紫菜米,菜肉雲吞酸辣米線和白灼芥藍。四寶是魚旦墨丸春卷牛丸,因為不食牛,自動改為魚片2片,魚片是很薄的那種,春卷說是招牌,味道也只是不過不失,墨丸吃到濃濃的白肉味,反而魚旦不錯,起碼不是一口粉。菜肉雲吞只是普通交來貨,酸辣湯底微辣偏酸,埋單$66,想不到吃什麼時,這樣的價格也算不錯,店內座位偏窄,卡位是必然的要搭檯。
