鳳城是老牌食肆,很多上咗年紀的人都識得佢。近年因興懷舊,便多了年輕人來了。此處大部分是大圓枱,可搭位。飯市時熱鬧非常。今天6人飲茶,等咗半個小時,終於等到一張唔駛搭位的中枱。 點心以剔點心紙為主,種類唔算太多。有些別處很難吃到的,如上湯炸粉果是配一小碗韮王上湯一起上枱,粉果浸了上湯可降熱氣,但又能保持鬆脆的。蛋黃蓮蓉飽,嘩,全個飽面都是豆皮,幾醜樣,應是番蒸的結果。但撕開內餡蓮蓉軟中帶脆粒,仲有成個鹹蛋黃添,是真材實料。鍋貼大明蝦是鳳城名菜之一,炸得香脆,仍保持水準,正。蒜蓉炒豆苗,碟頭唔算大,亦不是豆杯,午市都收$88可能貴少少了。懷舊馬拉糕,鬆軟加熱辣辣上枱,吃起來特別好味。XO醬鮮魷,魷魚新鮮,個XO醬唔太多,但加咗蒜蓉mix埋出來的醬勁夾鮮魷,最後唔夠分要叫多碟。懷舊糯米雞,很大隻,有成隻雞中翼,糯米黏軟,餡料肉汁滲入糯米中,啖啖都很入味。其他如蝦餃、鮮竹卷、排骨都OK。其中鳳城灌湯餃的內餡很足料,但濃稠得過分,漿糊咁,做不到灌湯的效果。外皮厚,微微放涼便變得又乾又靱,下次一定唔會叫。
