To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 住香港仔的人基本上都是食南記大的,不過中環皇后街這間分店我倒是第一次試。原來南記現今已先進到有自助賣票機,不過我嫌食餐南記都要如此機械化實在覺得很怪,所以還是乖乖排隊到收銀處買飛。招牌鴛鴦河 $25南記辣椒醬對我來說是非加不可的,其自家製辣椒醬本來是杰身的 (因為我有在分店原樽買過),然後分店同事每天都會將辣椒醬加水稀釋,所以檯面上的辣醬才會出現流質。招牌鴛鴦河包括有春卷、牛丸及魚片 (本來應該是魚蛋的,但因休魚期所以只得魚片),春卷我覺得比從前的短了點,而且牛丸也沒有以前的咬口了,感覺很"鬆拋拋"...南記生意越做越大,當所有食材均經工場劃一出品後,味道再不能返回過往的小本人情味了。
