There were two of us
So we ordered both fish and pork to share
Appetisers included local veggies
As well as homemade pickles
Always nice to support local farms
Fresh delivery with less carbon footprints
Had the fish collar first
A relatively sweet sauce which I liked
Together with the very tender fish
Excellent with rice
Radish was so juicy
And like a crystal cube by looking
That I wanted to keep it in my pocket

Pork was next
We kept the original portion since it’s our first try
Thin slices of pork belly from Okinawa
Crispy leek with homemade leek oil
Chewy mushrooms enriched the texture of the dish further
Mixed everything with the jelly-like marinated egg yolk
It’s the second dish but simply so good that we could keep on eating
The rice from Hokkaido was also a highlight
It reminded me the first time I visited Tokyo
And finished a few bowls of Japanese rice
Even though without anything to go with the rice
Sweet memory
