To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 和同學們一起溫書,本來打算去吃壽司,不過壽司店實在太多人,大家又飢腸轆轆,於是同學S提議隨處逛逛,看看哪間食肆有位,其時已經差不多晚上九時多,看見這間「翡翠拉麵小籠包」有位,二話不說就入內坐下。今晚點的主要是前菜,份量不多,雖然每人只能吃少許,但可以吃的種類就多了,今晚點了八個前菜(銀絲卷兩碟、小籠包兩籠、雞絲粉皮、手抓餅、四喜烤麩、生煎包、腩汁菜芯),再加了四個主食(菜肉雲吞麵、牛筋腩豬手湯麵、淨雲吞、上海粗炒麵)。如果只有我和女朋友來,一定嚐試不到那麼多菜式。重點:----小籠包:肉汁豐富,溫度適中,可以一口吞下而不會覺得熱,肉汁亦不容易流失----四喜烤麩:號稱「食肉獸」的我對四喜烤麩情有所鍾,幾乎每次去上海菜館都會點。印象中四喜烤麩不是冷盤嗎?今次點的四喜烤麩是熱的?還好熱食也不差----上海粗炒麵:看上去好像不太多,不過整碟吃光後卻感到很滿足,而且不太油膩,很好吃----其餘菜式與一般餐館差不多,中規中矩,從略特別一提今晚招待我們的經理Panda先生(他的名牌真的寫著Panda),雖然已是晚上九時多,仍然笑容滿面,而且下單、回應我們的要求等都很快速,這種工作態度感染了我們,並

而且價錢是出奇地便宜,雖然點了很多菜式,但平均每人都不過$120,實在令我們覺得賺到了。
