To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今晚係KK day 買咗$128/1 隻的片皮鴨優惠,之後再叫咗個特價芝士龍蝦伊面($188),由6:15pm 落單,結果到7:42pm 到嚟唔到,中途有再三問職員係咪漏咗單,結果係7:30pm 上咗上湯龍蝦伊面,我要求要回芝士龍蝦伊面,結果又係等唔到,我決定除消及埋單。首先張單記錯數,將我係KK day 已經比左錢嘅片皮鴨再收一次錢,我提醒職員要更改,之後我用自己嘅電話計多次,職員就開始不耐煩,到我比完張信用卡俾錢,佢哋開始玩嘢,全場只有我一張床要計數,佢哋唔比返張咭我,結果要我等咗15 分鐘,我開始發火先同我道歉。我由6:15pm - 7:42pm 的服務都係服務極差的對待,完全唔會再幫襯。
