To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 荃灣有許多酒樓食肆,最有名和歷史悠久,算是美心皇宮了。荃灣區老街坊,都非常喜歡去飲茶吃飯的,由早到晚都非常爆滿。環境也不錯,因前身是凱旋戲院原故,可以保留了大堂,加上水晶燈襯托,感覺非常光猛和華麗,最重要是推車隻買點心的,好懷舊,姐姐招呼也不錯,好有禮貌。每次來都必定吃北菇牛肉球,柚皮鳳爪,帶子腸粉。北菇牛肉球是有三隻北菇的,是上乘材料,配牛肉吃,感覺好有特式。特別喜歡吃柚皮鳳爪,別的酒樓做不到它的口味,鳳爪不會淋身,有口咬,柚皮吸了醬汁後,非常入味。帶子腸粉,師傅整得好鮮味,不會好淡口的。
