金子半之助獲譽為日本第一天丼,主打日式天婦羅丼飯,招牌天婦羅是達30cm長的海鰻。店家只供應3款天婦羅丼飯,我哋就揀咗最受歡迎嘅江戶前天丼,同埋上天丼。枱上已備有一壺黑豆茶,每茶杯中放有兩粒黑豆,客人可自行添茶;黑豆茶可解油膩,亦有抗衰老、除濕熱之效。見著師傅用心製作,即點即炸,用上日本製天婦羅小麥粉及日本新鮮雞蛋做粉漿,炸出嚟嘅脆漿完全唔厚,食完都唔覺好油膩;每款丼餐附味噌湯、漬物(今次係牛蒡&柚子蘿白),另有罐裝飲品或啤酒可點。江戶前天丼穴子、海老、小柱魷魚天婦羅餅、溫泉蛋、海苔、莢豌豆穴子即是星鰻,與一般鰻魚比較,穴子脂肪較少,肉質纖細且脂肪較少。上天丼鱚魚、海老、小柱魷魚天婦羅餅、溫泉蛋、海苔、莢豌豆鱚魚,肉質鮮嫩,含有豐富蛋白質。店員特別提到炸至半熟嘅流心蛋,建議吃到一半時才戳破用嚟撈飯食,令蛋液包著每粒米,又係另一味覺享受。最欣賞係佢連塊海苔都酥脆而不油膩江戶時代的秘傳醬汁,選用純天然大豆,入口香醇偏甜,食到底都仲有醬油香味。
