To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 我們一行5人,好耐無食過中菜-同片皮鴨,啱啱又放寬堂食到晚上12點,終於唔使趕住走啦。今晚唔覺唔覺就叫多咗-太耐無見同太耐冇一齊邊飲邊食。今晚分別叫咗:一隻烤北京填鴨 - 味道都ok,而份量都太多(雖然5個人都覺得有些漏;醬爆腰果雞丁-這個味都濃都ok;鳳梨咕嚕肉 - 用新鮮鳳梨直得讚,不過個汁略酸,肉炸得乾咗一d,一般;薑汁炒芥蘭- 冇乜薑汁味、芥蘭有啲渣,一般;京淮蔥油伴海蜇 頭- 夠彈牙,但係冇乜味,一般;胡同里蔥油餅 - 餅皮本人覺得好乾、但餡料啲蔥都OK;淅江高郵黃金蝦球 - 蝦球都夠彈牙,不過本人唔太鍾意蛋黃,所以就覺得麻麻地。本身對北京樓好有期望,因每次經開都好多人排隊等位,而好耐之前食過都覺得比一般酒樓賣相精緻和味道好、服務好,但從入座時門口帶位職員完全無理會我們一行5人,只先比頭兩位朋友掃安心出行,而我們是一齊排隊入座,都唔理會我們,都繼續安排其人客人,這方面希望有改善。而食物方便,亦較預期無咁好。所以整體而言覺得一般,如下次再有聚會都未必會再選這間。
