To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 南記粉麵前身是「推車仔」賣粉麵的流動小販攤檔,在1980年代於香港仔開業,售賣港式粉麵,以腐皮包著魚肉餡料的春卷及酸辣小窩米線聞名。2005年,小妹初出茅廬,於香港仔工作時初次與之相遇,更不可自拔地愛上了其春卷墨魚丸米線。今早,路經而突然想食,見店舖座無虛席,就外買返公司細味品嚐了。食物種類好像還是老樣子,沒有太大的改變或創新,還是要了春卷墨魚丸米線。一打開膠蓋,只見一層薄油凝結於湯面之上。春卷墨魚丸經過油炸,故油份較多,再加上偏油的米線,就油上加油了﹗為健康著想,下次還是揀米粉好了﹗利用碎墨魚肉及肥豬肉拌入生粉製成的墨魚丸,表面色澤潔白,質感粗糙,入口富有彈性,口感爽脆。小妹咬到一小團有筋肥豬肉,只好吐出。 以腐皮包著魚肉餡料的招牌春卷仍有魚味及有嚼勁,但可食到溝了點麵粉。印象中,春卷應該更肥厚點、具彈性及富魚鮮的……蔥粒清湯偏幼身米線,雖則浸了湯,吃時米線仍頗煙韌而又有咬口,絕不會軟淋發漲。水準仍有,只是沒有任何新點子了﹗
