To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 最近就是 TVB 也再度播出《歡樂今宵》,懷舊風怎麼吹都吹不完。火水爐冰室的裝修重現 70 年代的風貌,門口打造成舊式戲院,變成火水爐「丸」線。樓上就有住家感覺,母親大人説地下的磚和她小時候舊居一樣的。餐廳午市真的如冰室,不過晚市就是供應半自助式火鍋的:頂級本地手切肥牛海鮮匯火鍋套餐。套餐內容頗豐富,任食的頂目亦清楚列明。頭盤前菜中的炸燒賣非常出色,炸得很香脆可口,沒有把燒賣炸得乾癟!我爸爸說舊時買豬腸粉就是用這種碟子盛的,兩老邊食邊話當年。另一道前菜小食是薑蔥惹味鮑魚,鮑魚頗大隻彈牙。秘製辣雞煲好惹味,雞肉滑嫩。雞煲裏的洋蔥很甜,煮得入味後味道不錯。因為同兩老食,就選了健康一點的蕃茄濃湯。原來蕃茄湯底有原隻蟹的,更加鮮味,鮮甜的栗米份量也好多。肉類有手切頂級本地肥牛和手切西班牙黑豚豬,肥牛的雪花紋理分布均勻,肉質細緻;黑豚豬每片都頗大塊,吃起來較有口感。海鮮匯拼盤有六種時令海鮮,海鮮新鮮和種類都算多。鮑魚肥厚很鮮爽。之後是各式拼盤,有六寶拼丸、手包拼餃、炸脆拼盤和蔬菜籃,吃到好飽!甜品是懷舊雜果涼粉紅冰,母親大人説勾起他們的拍拖回憶,哈哈。難得兩老出門食飯食得開懷,今晚是值回票價的!
