To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 同老豆落街食飯,見個餐單果蒸肉餅魚咁普通,所以叫左個牛肉炒芥蘭同鐵板豆豉爆雞件,d餸睇落都幾ok,香噴噴,碟雞件仲要"炸炸"聲,牛肉炒芥蘭用左xo醬加少少辣椒,老豆年紀大都話ok唔太辣好夠味,炒得幾香口,個爆雞件都幾正下,可能個鐵板上果陣夠哂熱,d雞真係好好食,不過我嫌d豆豉唔夠味,冇左碟野嘅特色總括而言係好食嘅,自己食過好多次百分百已經知道邊d菜式唔係咁好食,今次難得試到兩味餸都唔差,所以特意係到推介下比黎食晚餐嘅各位
