To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 原本諗住食海港城牛角，貪佢個景靚啲，但朋友要喺元朗食飯，即刻改book元朗牛角，好彩有book枱，夠鐘準時入座，唔使門口攞飛等未安排入座，就俾咗個蛋糕佢幫我雪住先，雖然之前係openrice見到牛角免切餅費，但侍應就提我要收50蚊影相費，準備入座嘅時候，就問我要唔要做會員，咁我confirm咗會員嘅優惠可以即刻用，同埋佢話係會員就可以免咗50蚊影相費，咁我就即刻應承做會員啦坐低咗之後搞掂咗啲會員手續，就即刻上網啟動會員帳號雖然係朋友生日，但係食咩朋友都畀我話事燒肉揀咗原味因為成日都覺得原味嘅肉新鮮過餐廳醃製過嘅肉一人一個牛角玉子飯，不過我覺得瓊華嗰次個飯好似好食啲，後來醒返起上次食嘅應該係普通牛角飯，餐廳啲侍應嘅招呼都好好，枱與枱之間都放曬隔板，而且會有執枱專員，感覺上的而且確比其他食肆更加乾淨衛生（唔怪得之袁教授都讚好）食曬嘢之後請佢上蛋糕，搵佢哋同事幫手揸機嘅時候，執枱專員會因為自己帶住手套而call其他唔係負責執枱嘅同事嚟幫手揸機真係要讚雖然做會員要二百蚊，但牛角牛涮鍋呢個集團啲餐廳又真係幾好食嘅，有質素保證，冇後悔做咗會員只
