The staff (a chubby middle aged lady) were in half dreaming status. We informed her that there was not enough drinking glasses on the table, 4 glasses for 7 of us. She had the nerve to ask us, why do you need so many glasses!? 😠When we asked if they served Budae Jigae (部隊鍋), she had no clue what we were talkig about and she thought it was a hotpot from Mainland China! 🙄 is this a joke? When we placed an order for drinks, she kept on messing up even though all she needed to serve was 2 cans of Sprite and 1 can of coke zero.
Then when we got the bill, she mistakenly charged more for the drinks. When we flagged that mistake to her, she was still in her daydreaming state and not sure of what we had ordered...😵
In terms of flavors/taste: Overall, the banchan (bean sprouts and kimchi in particular) tasted strange. Kimchi was not spicy at all, it tasted very sweet which made it strange. The bean sprouts tasted sour like pickles. 🤔 The seafood and the kimchi hotpot soup base coming with the set dinner tasted bland. For the dipping sauce, it was so mediocre that I could easily find something tastier from a supermarket.
Beef quality: the Hanwoo beef quality was decent. That was the only positive attribute I could find about this restaurant.
In short, if you are looking for an authentic Korean meal, stay away from this place.
P.S.: the toilet was a major diasaster. The floor was wet and slippery, and even the door knob was wet. 😰 it was like someone just took a shower there...
