To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 打算一家人食個開年飯,一心想著美心皇宮的食物應該會不錯,誰知道真的令所有人都“大跌眼鏡”!我們點了四樣菜式:龍馬勁精神(上湯焗加拿大龍蝦伊麵) : 一般的龍蝦,沒有特別鮮味也沒有特別難吃。因為伊麵的味道可以說是超水準的低!!伊麵煮得過度軟稔,簡直是煮到爛了!爛到不能用筷子夾起來吃,難怪會附上湯匙了。說實話,樓下不知名的大排檔都不會做出這樣難食的東西!菜遠炒滑斑球: 美其名是菜遠滑斑球,其實是西蘭花炒魚塊而已。所謂的斑塊同樣是煮得太軟稔,而且完全吃不出甚麼斑球味道,反而有陣腥味。蜜汁叉燒皇 : 雖然沒有很多脂肪,不會太油膩,不過瘦肉的地方,真的很 “鞋”,而且沒甚麼汁。真的想不到大集團會做出這種又乾“鞋”的叉燒給客人食用。金袍玉龍團(貴妃脆蝦球) : 全晚唯一比較好點的食物,有濃濃的沙律醬汁包住炸過的大蝦,味道不過不失,算是對得它的價錢。總的來說,美心皇宮有著酒店價錢,大排檔不如的食物,相信不會再有回頭客人!下次團年飯,開年飯,就算連普通午餐,我都不會選擇來 美心皇宮!!!
