To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 日前在中環歷山大廈北京樓晚膳,完全失望,不知所謂,首不說出品,光是服務就已經超級差,有位女樓面只照顧我們鄰桌的外國人,另一位部長是吧(結灰色領帶的)寫菜時黑面,寫完菜轉個面就已經用d好蔑視的態度,試問我十位用饍,先點8個冷盤,再點熱食,有什麼問題?整晚全程冇乜人主動招呼,不換碟,次次都要叫才有人換碟,跟鄰桌的熱情招呼,主動換碟簡直天淵之別,難道外國人要付錢,難道香港人就要受這樣待遇嗎!加菜又漏單,漏咗單仲反問:咁你仲要唔要吖!訂位7点半,7點多開始食飯,8点半就不停有人過來問:菜齊未?似趕客。馳名北京填鴨的薄餅,一上桌已經又硬又凍,皮原本已經好厚,又沒有熱爐跟保溫,拔絲香蕉上桌已經是水浸香蕉(但眼見鄰桌叫拨絲香蕉,廚師是即埸做及席前表演的,這是種族歧視嗎?高力豆沙,皮厚過皮球。由服務到食品出品都超級差水準,不知所謂,所以技倆只是呃鬼佬
