To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 上星期五同屋企人嚟左美心皇宮食母親節飯, 見到呢個套餐平及中銀咭有折,一早訂左枱,又冇分時段,GOOD. 我們13個人訂左七點,但係等齊人都要8點幾,一路見越嚟越多人嚟,坐無虛席.套餐係有上湯龍蝦伊麵,龍蝦冇咩肉,唔夠爽口,伊麵好味,好大碟的炸蝦腐皮卷,份量都幾多,炸到好香口,好味呀,啖啖蝦肉蒜香雞,好味呀,好香蒜味,同埋好多醬油的,雞都幾滑呀翅,都OK,唔會好結好多漏汁的感覺,都多料的呀,有些蟹肉,魚肚,翅等花膠鵝掌,好大好大好大隻花膠呀,不過我覺得好厚,好膠,可能我麻麻地花膠,可能細件小小,或者用刀叉食好D呀,鵝掌都幾大隻,好味的豆菜苗,好好味,好鍾意食,力埋芽菜一齊食,正呀魚,條魚好大條,不過蒸得太耐,好老呀,D肉都唔滑呀.最後的甘桔馬楴露,好怪的味道,可能又係我地唔鍾意食馬碲露啦,所以覺得唔太好味,甘桔味道又唔夾,總之好怪的.套餐還包兩渣橙汁的.美心係大碟夾抵食的呀,服務又好.
