To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 係我地屋企有一個傳統,就係不論六日,只要你無約人,都一定要陪媽咪飲茶。無錯,係呢個媽咪大晒嘅屋企,連老豆都無得反抗架!哈哈哈由於媽媽以前係開九龍做野,所以對呢邊情有獨鍾,搬左屋之後,山長水遠都要過海黎飲茶。最近,我地屋企由佐敦金皇朝轉戰到尖東翠園。就係貪佢呢到截單時間晏,風景好,環境又夠舒適。我最愛佢呢到嘅馬蹄糕,同出面好唔同。顏色上,翠園的馬蹄糕唔係傳統的金黃色,因為佢地一上碟我以為上錯左紅棗糕—_— 佢地嘅馬蹄糕入口後有淡淡的馬蹄香而有大大粒的馬蹄肉,馬蹄糕的軟腍腍且入口即化的口感與爽脆的馬蹄肉形成強烈對比。連平日不好煎炸物的媽媽也大讚好味,所以我地每次黎食都必點。然後,今個星期六比較特別的係以下呢個菜式。好似係翠園新的主打菜式,感覺似係湛江嘅農家菜咁。由於家人都好細胃,此煲一上枱,我地大家都嚇左一跳,個煲實在太大啦,108一煲好抵食。飯是一粒一粒的,呢種飯我最鍾意,飯入面會有一粒粒的鵝毑肉同好多花生。飯是幾好食的,但實在太多花生了,食到我口都攰埋。煲飯係我地一家4口食完兩碗之後仲有得剩,最後仲要帶番屋企。
