To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 每個星期總有一日會去太興食lunch, 今日同同事一如以往. 但今次無食燒味飯, 叫左午餐, 雪菜肉絲湯米粉+炒旦多士, 同事就叫左叉燒油雞飯其實不畢都知太興既燒味好好食. 但貪得意想食下其他. 結果就出事了..雪菜肉絲米粉 - 還可以, 但唔夠辣椒炒旦多士 - 炒旦有旦汁, 都滑, 但係完全無味, 應該係廚房一d 鹽都無落, 仲要d旦有一陣唔知算係油益味定咩味....多士唔脆.... 個例湯都還ok啦~始終燒味先係強項. 同事既叉油雞飯叉燒又林, 又唔會太瘦, 燒得岩岩好, 仲好夠蜜汁, 所以好甜好好味. 油雞唔肥, 仲要係雞脾. 下次都係食返燒味算喇
