To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

坤記入選了米芝蓮推介食店,主打竹昇麵,今次要來試試,正好與之前食過的深水埗老字號比較一下。買了團購套餐,食物包括一款撈麵、油菜一碟、手拍青瓜和一杯熱飲。未夠六點鐘就來到,時間尚早,店內只有兩個食客,店員招呼周到。兩張餐券,叫了蠔油蝦子撈麵和柱侯牛腩撈麵,飲品要了熱奶茶和檸茶。青瓜是掩好的,浸在紅油中,放在一個大膠箱裡,要的時候就拿出來放在碟上。青瓜兩個人的份量就只有一小碟,份量非常小,但紅油的顏色和味道俱備,令青瓜非常好吃。撈麵的份量比劉森記多,麵色較淡,伴隨兩塊生菜。蝦子下得同樣多,鋪滿了麵底,味道也很鮮香。蠔油不鹹也不鮮,吃不出甚麼味道。至於麵條,沒有鹼水味,入口夠爽,但欠缺了劉森記那種彈性充足、結實而不死實的口感。另上的湯底,灑入幾粒蝦子,味道清甜是肯定的,但也及不上劉森記的鮮。另一碟是柱侯牛腩撈麵,牛腩的肥膏頗多,把大部份肥肉分了出來,雖然只吃瘦肉,但也覺得牛腩炆得很軟腍入味。但這碟牛腩撈麵,麵底吃起來有種古怪的「油臆」味,估計是麵底加了生油,與麵條本身無關。生菜的份量不算多,撈上一樣的蠔油,味道平平。難得的是熱奶茶,茶味奶味都濃郁,入口香滑,比很多茶餐廳都優勝。坤記的竹昇麵,

坤記的竹昇麵,肯定比一般麵店有水準,但是否最好,當然不是。至於是否值得入選米芝蓮推介,就像某食家說,米芝蓮「是給不熟悉香港的外國人看的,就跟我們去外國旅行一樣,買一本當地的飲食指南,去嚐嚐,去試試」。畢竟在街上能夠看到廚房師傅打製竹昇麵的過程,不少途人對這裡的麵也會起興趣。
