To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. o係馬鞍山呢個眾所周知既美食沙漠之中,好感恩仍然有一間令我感到有「吃的幸福」既感覺,真心希望【翡翠拉麵小籠包】可以繼續長存o係馬鞍山。不得不提「酸辣湯」,「筍、冬菇、肉絲、蛋花、木耳、豬紅、豆腐」豐富食材不在話下,胡椒香辣既湯底,一碗喝下滋味滿分,滿晒你既味蕾。「招牌小籠包」皮薄餡靚,半肥瘦豬肉加蔥薑汁緊緊地被透薄的包皮擁抱住,夾起又唔易爛,一咬入去,熱辣辣既薑蔥汁加熱湯噴射式射出,一啖一口,真心幸福滿瀉。「涼拌海蜇」屬於冰凍小吃,海蜇肉質厚實亦脆口,加上佢既爽彈感實在令人樂至忘懷,用「米醋、糖、鹽,麻油」來調製,非常醒胃,增加食慾,每逢吃上海菜,都很自然地叫這個涼拌海蜇作頭盤小食。「金銀蛋菠菜」 好多人都會知道,金是皮蛋,銀是鹹蛋,由於皮蛋心黏稠,所以先煮過待蛋心凝固後再切,才不會糊糊的,而這店就做得到了。加上爆香了的蒜頭粒完全的蓋過了菠菜本身的澀味,令人食指大動之餘亦能清腸胃。「雞火炒飯」飯炒至粒粒金黃分明,好有咬口,咸香噗鼻,值得一試。
