Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 和平飯店是大本營剛開張時就營業的餐廳, 主打滬菜的風格在這區算是比較特別, 而且也是黃傑龍先生的敘福樓集團少有的中菜餐廳, 這也算是難得. 黃生對餐飲業的經營方法, 在香港算是Make Sense而貼地, 例如之前常常說夜消費, 這餐廳不是提供餐飲折扣券, 而是在晚上八九時之後將食材大幅減價, 做法能直接為及食客, 看似簡單但實際上不是太多經營者願意這樣做, 結果當然是聚集了人氣和人流.菜式方面不會有太大期望, 就是街坊餐廳的水準. 最有驚喜的是炸豬手, 酥脆之中保持了豬手皮的彈性, 而且夠惹味, 配上啤酒也是相當好的配搭. 醉雞的花雕酒香也不錯, 最重要是不會因為減價而減少份量. 鍋貼和小籠包也是合乎預期的水準, 唯一真的不滿的是炒年糕味道太鹹, 調味落得太重, 但兩個人平均不用$100的消費, 吃一頓侍應服務有禮, 環境乾淨, 而且合乎水準的晚餐, 在現今的香港也不是一件容易的事.
