Having stayed home for a long long time, it was hard not to take a break haha. This time we decided to grab a quick lunch at a seemingly new Thai restaurant in Quarry Bay. It was exactly on your right after exiting MTR Exit B so that it’s location was pretty convenient. It was a very petite restaurant with maybe 10 seats but every two seats were separated from each other so that you felt safe eating in.For lunch, everything was at most $58 with a lot of choices of rice or noodle dishes. For lunch, everything was at most $58 with a lot of choices of rice or noodle dishes. A special drink was included in this price. You could top it up by $18 to get a snack or dessert. Pretty cheap indeed!

As we both craved soup noodles, we ordered two different flavours to share. We also topped up for two different snacks to share. For noodles, they let us choose the type as we liked which was very customer friendly. Considerate service!

喇沙湯面 at $58

There were three shrimps, three slices of deep fried fish balls, four tofu puffs, and half a boiled egg together with quite a lot of crispy bean sprouts. I ordered ho fun for the noodles. First of all, I tried a sip of the soup which was so tasty and rich in coconut paste and curry. Very delicious indeed. The Ho fun was pretty smooth and thin. The addition of crispy bean sprouts enhanced the texture of the bowl. Portion was quite big too.

巴東湯面金邊粉 at $58

This soup noodle was even better because the soup was even more delicious which was a little bit sweet yet still very rich in coconut paste. We ordered 金邊粉 which was also very thin and smooth. The portion of beef was pretty generous and the quality was high as they were pretty tender and well seasoned with appropriate amount of fat. They also added some crispy bean sprouts to add texture, while added loads of spring onion to enhance flavour. I personally liked this soup noodle even more!

泰式鳳爪 at $18

I was really surprised by its portion when it was served to us. There were around 6 cut pieces of chicken feet which were crispy yet tender enough. There was quite a lot of accompanying salad yet it was quite spicy.

泰式春卷 at $18

There were three spring rolls which were so crispy as they were freshly deep fried. The wrapping was super thin too. There seemed to be some decent quantity of meat and veggies indeed. The accompanying sweet and sour sauce was pretty appetising to go with the spring rolls.

For drinks we chose 龍眼冰 and 泰式青檸茶 while you could also choose soft drinks or Thai milk tea. They were all included in the set.

龍眼冰

I asked for less ice cubes for this drink. It was not overly sweet at all with a natural flavour of 龍眼. There were three pieces of 龍眼 in it which were all finished by us.

泰式青檸茶

I just tried a sip of the lime tea which was again not overly sweet with reasonably rich flavour of lime.

Quality of the food was definitely way better than I had expected. Prices were really cheap given the quality. There was an option to takeaway too. Service was pretty attentive and staff were generally pretty friendly.
