暑假大肥爸爸不慎受傷,行動有點不便,哥哥牛一細佬請食飯,就揀咗去中環近爸爸公司嘅「香港文華東方酒店」,一嚐新店「The Aubrey」。步出酒店升降機門,必先行經一條畫廊通道方才達到接待處,有點兒神秘。掛出嘅藝術品原來同十九世紀歐洲牽起嘅日本主義「Japonisme」有關,熱潮其中一個關鍵人物正正為店名來源之英國插畫藝術家「Aubrey Beardsley」。傍晚時份,酒吧區域早已坐滿貴客,熱鬧忙碌得很,因此更顯得人手短缺。細佬於門前等咗成八分鐘都未有人招呼入座,當負責嘅妹妹仔出現時,其黑面冷漠嘅態度直令原本高漲嘅心情蓋上烏雲,真心感覺自己不太受歡迎!對食客而言,入門口嗰刻嘅印象對接下來嗰餐飯好唔好食其實影響好大,酒店適逢六十週年慶典似乎忽略咗重要嘅一環。網上訂座時提及到席上有傷殘長者,感激餐廳安排四口子入座空間感足嘅厚墊梳化位,豪華得猶如置身於英式小偏廳內。花燈及窗旁可觀賞25樓望落去嘅海景。餐桌上擺有自用嘅餐具,唯一張枱矮咗少少,用餐時難免會覺得唔就手。慶生當然係要開香檳搞吓氣氛先啦!酒吧餐廳以「日式居酒屋」打響旗號,調酒師就好配合地以燒酎作為核心,設計出一系列嘅燒酎雞尾酒,酒牌仲

文華東方酒店新開辦嘅「The Aubrey」格調高雅,歐陸風采尤甚,主打嘅日式料埋帶點新派,簡單啲講係一間洋化咗嘅居酒屋
。普通對五星級酒店嘅要求係會高啲,因其價格高人一等嘛,但平心而論,新店食物質素有得亦有失,人手不足嘅服務團隊都一樣,接待處由黑面神看守,幸好用餐大堂有落力嘅外籍經理及Nichole妹妹招呼,先成功挽回不少分數,XO仔請哥哥食嘅生日飯先冇咁掃興
