To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

太太一向愛吃buffet,但相反我就沒有這舖癮。始終人年紀開始漸大,食嘢要貴精不貴多。人隨著年紀食量隨之而減少,就算面對著一大堆美食,胃納也並不能裝太多了....但有時面對有水準的buffet,我也是會破例的。好像是夜在這裡,我們兩口子就吃了很多,就連向來不會說飽到要撐的太座也開口說受不了....習慣未開動之前先巡場。這兒的餐桌很明顯分開四個 : 刺身壽司及海鮮凍肉冷盤加沙律、BBQ地段、熱食以及甜品區,一目了然....這自助餐最特別的便是到了某個特定時段,就會有一位侍者站在大廳中央敲起小木琴,提醒客人在每一個食物主題專桌上會有一款限量的美食供應。是夜嚐到的,便是海膽三文魚籽魚生飯、surf & turf、花膠鮑魚扣大花菇以及火熖雪山。雖說是限量,但查實吃至最後,酒店就索性作全面供應給客人任取。試想想,一大碟花膠鮑魚扣大花菇給您任吃且不用搶不用爭,單論性價比已嬴晒了....更難得的是,食物水平的確甚不賴 ---- 魚生粒沒見重腥氣,身為重點的uni亦不嚐到苦瀝甚creamy滑溜;surf & turf的龍蝦啖啖肉,頭與身皆滿佈細紅的蝦籽。舖上芝士來焗味更添豐腴;牛扒的水準更是出乎意料的

更難得的是,食物水平的確甚不賴 ---- 魚生粒沒見重腥氣,身為重點的uni亦不嚐到苦瀝甚creamy滑溜;surf & turf的龍蝦啖啖肉,頭與身皆滿佈細紅的蝦籽。舖上芝士來焗味更添豐腴;牛扒的水準更是出乎意料的好,整塊扒有約三至四成是帶脂肪的,熱力讓脂香油香散佈於軟淰的肉中,食起來一點筋也沒有。真有點後悔之後沒再encore;花膠鮑魚扣大花菇索性一次過取了一大碟和太太共享,花膠雖不特別厚身但仍軟嫩中帶爽口,鮑魚肉軟熟帶輕微啜口;花菇厚如一件扒般菇香盎然。更特別是最後洒上脆米通伴吃,脆脆的和三位主角的軟嫩質地相映成趣;火焰雪山既好睇味也不俗,酒香適可而止不會太over,外層燒灸過的cream軟滑而裡面的塞了紅莓醬的蛋糕亦十分軟綿....

這兒有一至兩個細節,是我在其地酒店buffet裡頭少見的。首先非常吸睛的是熱食桌上有一大窩的oden關東煑....

海鮮種類雖不多但整體來講質素是挺不錯的,特別是大蝦及帶子,前者肉結實不霉味帶鹹鮮;後者則肥大肉厚....

自製的凱撒沙律中,羅馬生菜濕潤脆爽,麵包粒很小會見到如此份量慷慨大粒的,值吃。煙肉片焦脆得像食薯片般....

Cold cut meat大都是些尋常款式如巴馬火腿、salami及smoked salmon,不過品質是不俗的,特別是三文,煙燻香挺突出....

另外這兒自助餐的兩個特點,也可算是selling point的,其一是湯品選擇很多。身為"湯后"的太太,一落場就連幹掉了幾碗了....

相反我不好湯,只淺嚐了點粉葛赤小豆煲赤肉及南瓜湯。前者老火沒妖邪味;後者南瓜味濃郁,口感細滑....

其二是這兒有劈開一個區域專為素食者而設的,由此可見酒店在設計餐單上是有花心思的....

對素食,我一直沒有甚麼研究,只求有些菜蔬下肚就算了,對味道有些不明所以,不過心裡還是覺得酒店的安排頗貼心的....
熱盤小炒方面,一口氣試了蒸魚、蒜心炒蝦仁及荷芹炒臘味。魚一般正常水平;蝦仁很大只很爽口;蒜心有些微因擺得太久而變了色,但總體上未失菜甜;臘味出奇地很有水準,特別是臘肉,瘦得來肉不會過柴過韌....

至於西式菜呢,最好的自然要數到自家用爐焗製的pizza,邊位薄脆得尤如在吃餅乾克力架般。那份即席飄來的爐焦香,永遠並非那些現成來貨可以相提並論;非常粗身的長通粉咬下去也挺al dente的;失色的是那瘦得不似形的粟米忌廉香草炒蜆....

這裡的甜食種類非常多 ---- 各款CHEESE CAKE、奶凍、CUT CAKE、TIRAMISU以至葡撻、窩夫、班戟及水果雪糕皆一應俱全,而且味道還要不錯的。最深印象當要數到滑不溜口而濃郁的朱古力慕絲以及批底鬆脆的梨撻....

怪不得食至最後,在呷下最後一口的潤喉暖身的薑汁柚子蜜後,太太和我都飽得呆坐當場了....
