To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 清年假,往年,90%的年假都是旅行,2020年例外!受COVID--19疫影響,所以外遊取消。放假,生活節奏自自然然放慢,睡飽飽,出旺角逛逛,媽媽想到百樂潮州吃午餐,沒有位!不想等,轉到旁邊的北京樓,不用等,直接入座。點了:#普洱茶,吃點心喝普洱解膩,不錯!#鮮肉鍋貼,皮煎得很脆,肉餡juicy,好吃!#荔芋海皇酥,芋角的升級版,加了蟹肉和蝦肉,好吃!#螺片香菇蒸雞,雞塊沒有處理好,有股雪藏味!#川鹵麵,料頭沒多少,味道一般!#紅棗糕,沒紅棗味,質感太軟,不好吃!感覺食物和服務都退步了!
