To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

深水埗明哥的善心以及事蹟，相信有不少食友知道。在此也不需大加闡述了....明哥在地頭深水埗開了兩三間舖。除了有主打燒味，較舊的燒臘飯店之外，還有這一所較新的，店名名帖由蔡瀾先生提寫的茶餐廳....看一看擺於門口旁的午市套餐餐牌，一碟飯加一杯飲品，竟然三十大洋有找兩塊。您說，怎能不服明哥呢 ?隨便點了A餐，薯仔炆排骨飯是也。飯與餸的量皆不多。飯粒粒分明不死硬；排骨少不免有略喇鬆過但不至於淡而乏味；獻汁很濃，一定要拌飯食不然就鹹死人；薯仔有點炆得不"透"，還帶嗦嗦聲的....縱然不是很好吃，但勝在真的平通街，"便宜到令人發笑"....明哥，是真的在為人民服務的....
