To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今晚去朋友仔度 BBQ,又係我做大廚 ﹗求其係樓下食個早午餐,就立即要買野返屋企預備食物喇 ﹗之前已經試過海南雞同叉燒,今次第 3 次幫襯,就試您個焗豬先啦 ﹗青紅蘿蔔瘦肉湯,今日既味道正常好多,有翻少少味道,唔難飲,但焗豬扒飯配中湯怪怪的。鮮茄焗豬扒飯,傳說中既螢光汁再現江湖?鮮紅色既茄汁賣相都幾好,不過吸引力有點弱,而且香氣欠奉,心想到底好唔好食架?得唔得?掂唔掂架?鮮茄焗豬扒飯,得奬焗豬扒飯?依間餐廳咁多菜色攞奬架咩?試一口先,嘩 ﹗掂喎 ﹗炒飯底充滿蛋香又乾爽,唔會濕淋淋黐埋一舊,無偷懶。特別地用既係珍珠米,既飽滿又嚥嚥韌韌 ﹗我一向都好討厭用珍珠米黎炒飯,因為水份較多又唔夠粘米香,但係依次真係好好味 ﹗加上香濃鮮茄醬,甜得黎帶少少果酸味道就更加開胃,撈埋完全熔化左既芝士,非常香口惹味。初時見到塊豬扒好似薄益益,有點失望 ﹗不過當大啖咬落去時,又覺得厚薄適中喎,不乾不硬,而且充滿肉汁,軟棉得黎帶咬口,無渣唔會刮口 ﹗醃味香濃而且豐富 ﹗Good ﹗
