To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 放學後,肚子餓得咕咕叫,所以來到附近的牛角醫肚。海港城的牛角向來都很多人等位,於是我先用手機APP網上取票,最後還是要多等10分鐘才能入座。這家牛角的裝修好像和以前不同了,不過我也差不多一年沒來了入座後才發現原來星期六沒有午餐set,我還滿心歡喜打算來吃午餐set最後我們點了燒肉六品盛合($218)和香蔥玉子飯($35)。燒肉六品盛合包括了牛胸腹、牛肋肉、牛舌、豬頸肉、豚肉燒和雞腿肉。牛肋肉牛味算濃,能嚐到牛的油脂味。牛胸腹的肉質太鞋和韌,口感不好。而牛舌太薄,失去了牛舌應有的煙韌口感。豬頸肉、豚肉燒和雞腿肉的口感和味道尚可,不過不失。老實說,燒肉六品盛合不划算,只有牛肋肉好吃,其他的5款肉很普通,已經索價$218。香蔥玉子飯是我的最愛,每次來吃lunch set也會加錢轉香蔥玉子飯。
