To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 二月中旬‧晴幾天也在皇室堡內的餐廳鑽,先去的是牛角。沒話說,只要看到牆上牛隻的解構圖,也會知道這裡就是牛魔王集中地。不要說笑,有時去到日本也會吃牛角,價錢不貴而選擇又多,總是吃得滿足而回的。這一天來吃了兩款新品,燒肉五品盛內的每款肉類都有三至四塊的份量,單計價錢只是百多元,絕對是划算的。兩款牛肉略燒便可吃,加上牛脷都是以濃郁的肉味取勝。豬頸肉及雞肉則要花上長一點的時間去烤,爽脆而厚切的雞肉也嫩滑而美味。鰻魚切得厚身的鰻魚要花點耐性去燒,但肉爽而沒有什麼泥味,油份豐厚而味道甘香,意想不到的好吃。值得留意是不要燒得太熟,才能保留一份脆口口感。店子還供應「燒肉秘笈」,就是新手也沒有失敗的道理。
