Tried 2 dons here- tokujo tendon & kakiagedon. I had high expectations for my Tokujo Tendon because 1. it said "tokujo" and 2. I've been eating a very,very good tendon regularly in Tokyo this summer (if you want to know where, I'll tell you if you ask) Unfortunately both dons were much too oily for my taste, and after eating 1/4 of each I already felt like it was a job to eat any more. Although tastewise nothing was horrendous (except one piece of fish in the tendon which was actually stale), to

Unfortunately both dons were much too oily for my taste, and after eating 1/4 of each I already felt like it was a job to eat any more. Although tastewise nothing was horrendous (except one piece of fish in the tendon which was actually stale), too much batter was used in both dons and the thick-skinned tempura was actually soggy.
