To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 6月1日,一行4人上午11點半到翠園,疫情下座位距離足夠,本來看似有品質的茶聚,被2位奇怪的員工打壞了心情。先是提交了點心單後,被一女服務員先粗暴地退回,點心紙丟在桌上,然後就好像老師改考試卷一樣,用力的在點心紙上劃上一個大大的交叉,説(呢個是十一點前架)。哇,大姐,十一點前的你們收起佢丫嘛。我們看錯了也不用那麽悔氣!然後再來就是一個西裝人員工,該名西裝人工作路過我們桌,我們其中一個同行人拿著茶壺説,(唔該,幫我加D水),唔知係唔係部長嘅工作不包括為顧客加水?佢望吓個茶壺,再望吓我地,然後行咗去。沒有再理會我們。就算你再不願意,也要叫其他服務員幫我們加水,這是服務行業啊,以客為先。何況西裝人更是小小管理人員,更加要作為小員工嘅表率呢。至于食物,一般般,沒有特別好,也沒有特別不好。
