To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 每次去完旅行玩完嘆完洗完回港都要發神經,前世欠你咩!野蠻愚昧,想食餐安樂茶飯都這麼困難!門口行李嬸嬸好相與,感覺溫暖舒服。山東手抓餅,熱熱的撕開,麵粉香噴噴,先脆後嚥韌。如果有東坡肉夾下,如果有咖哩牛腩夾下,更高興愉快。上海小籠包,沒有蒸過火,有點安慰。暖暖未算燙嘴,掉在醋上降降溫再一野塞入口!嘴內爆開,所有精華湯汁一滴不漏盡吞肚裡,嚥韌的豬肉搭彈性包皮,蠻不錯。鎮江排骨,甜醋不香,陰沉的味道,油油單調不吸引,鬆化肉質有點霉有點鞋。乾煸四季豆,好送飯的傳統佳餚,爽爽四秀豆,炸過微縮更香口,肉鬆蒜蓉醬油濃郁,濕濕惹味欠點鑊氣。口水雞撈麵,何解要剪斷我的長壽麵,我要長啜長有一氣呵成。麵爽夠硬夠堅廷,不過味道完全唔夾,而且散發苦澀味,麻味強勁帶中辣,食到滿口花椒粒。雞髀肉肥美,雞胸腍劈劈,沒什麼雞味。上海炒粗麵,靜靜的端上,沒有隆重登場的感覺。菜肉跟粗麵份量相約,我主要食麵的呢。啖啖爽甜椰菜,濃濃醬油豬肉絲夾雜冬菇絲,短短嚼勁粗麵,油油品嚐中規中矩。
