To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. 數喜愛北京填鴨的食肆,北京樓絕對在我的名單之內。一來食肆環境舒適,二來服務周到,是值得一嚐的中菜廳。點了北京填鴨($160 / 半隻)由於只有3人吃,半隻每人都吃到3片以上,份量其實都很足夠。鴨沒有片得很薄,因此每片均能吃到皮加肉。其中有些皮還帶有油脂,是一隻肥鴨呢。而我最愛則是薄薄的皮,不會因多吃幾片就覺得太飽或漿口。楊柳萵苣絲($98)很爽口,應是用上湯煮成的,因為每條萵苣絲都有味,是值得一試的蔬菜。賽螃蟹($118)由蛋白所烹調出來,本來味道淡淡的,幸好咸蛋黃份量適中。是撈飯一流的菜色。總結:此家分店一直能保持水準!菜色很多都值得一試。
