To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 和寶貝上完課,寶貝跟我講想吃叉燒飯。然後,想到附近的太興,就去看看有沒有位子。原來不只寶貝想吃叉燒飯,我也想到了可遇不一定可求的乳豬,坐下立即詢問有沒有叉燒乳豬雙拚,然後,幸運地再次遇上了。本來我們只是想跟著午餐的雙併飯點叫,但因為侍應的「誤會」,整件事最後變成了乳豬飯 + 叉燒,連凍飲埋單$86,好貴。食物在合理時間上桌。服務態度一般,桌上依然有可以淥熟人的熱水瓶,放餐具櫃桶今次竟是無筷子用。相對上次在大埔廣場感覺「營養不良」的叉燒,今次的叉燒算是肥瘦分明,乳豬皮香脆,只是蔬菜的份量絕對不夠,同時乳豬肉的醃味略淡。
