To encourage eatery outlets to reduce food waste at source together with customers through offering portioned meals and adopting food waste reduction measures, the Environmental Protection Department has launched the “Food Wise Eateries” Scheme. Participants will be awarded with a Food Wise Eateries (FWE) accreditation status if they comply with the assessment criteria and will be granted with the FWE Logo and Stickers for displaying in the premises and their promotion for public identification. Applications are accepted all year round and are FREE of charge.

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 今時今日的香港,想安安樂樂食餐飯也是不易,選擇了離開一陣子。上機前到了翠華,點了早餐S1,S2和行政早餐(炸魚柳)。本想喝杯熱奶茶提一提神,但侍應表示要等30分鐘,這種程況對趕上飛機的乘客是不能接受的,所以改為熱好立克。先上的沙爹牛肉公仔麵,味道一般,溫度只是微暖,未至於要食客爆粗。接下來的炸魚柳,是凍的。外層炸漿亦厚而且充滿油”益”味,魚本身有腥味,吃了一半,完全”頂唔順”。炒蛋過了火,不滑,而且也是凍的,茄汁豆也是凍,令人失望透頂。熱好立克根本未融,一整塊好立克粉沉在杯底,這是完完全全的亂來,粗製濫造。翠華是香港知名的茶餐廳品牌,而茶餐廳是香港飲食文化的icon。在這前提下,在機場開設的翠華,是丢人現眼,敗壞香港的飲食招牌。我為前來體驗香港美食的旅客感到可惜。
