Restaurant: Jashan Celebrating Indian Cuisine

To promote a new salt and sugar reduction (RSS) dietary culture and living style to the people of Hong Kong, the Environment and Ecology Bureau, the Committee on Reduction of Salt and Sugar in Food and the Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department have launched the "Less-Salt-and-Sugar Restaurants Scheme" ("Scheme"). Restaurants participated in the Scheme will offer less salt or sugar options to the consumer or even tailor-make less salt or sugar dishes in designated restaurants. Participating restaurants will be granted with the Scheme Labels for displaying in the premises for public identification. 好幾次行經這家印度餐廳的樓下,也見到他們的廣告牌,寫着自助午餐,只是百多元,一來收費不高,二來也喜歡吃印度菜的,所以,是次就和朋友同來吃一頓印度菜自助餐。 踏出升降機,就是餐廳,佔地全層,地方頗大,裝修較時尚摩登有氣派,掛了不少現代油畫作點綴,又帶點異國風情。近窗的一排卡位故然予人感覺開揚,就算裡面的,也舒適好坐,寬敞而舒適。午市就以自助形式,供應時間為12:00pm-2:30pm,每位收$148。所有食物都集中於一區,選擇不算多,但以一頓午餐而言,已非常足夠,有經常見到的,也有很多是沒多見的,由小食、主食、甜品到生果,都一應俱全,更包含不同口味的咖喱,配搭不同的肉類、魚類、蔬菜,還包一杯餐飲,喜歡印度菜的朋友真是不容錯過。飲品首選就是「芒果乳酪特飲」(Mango Lassi)這一款傳統而經典的飲品,以鮮芒果肉跟乳酪打成,不單口感豐厚綿密,而且,芒果的香味來得天然。餐前侍應更會送上一道「爆漿脆球餅 」(Pani Puri),是一款很地道的街頭小吃,球型的炸米餅很薄很脆,裡面有薯仔、洋蔥,吃法是將綠色的汁液倒進脆球餅同吃,之後再喝下剩餘的汁液,而汁液是加有薄荷、羅望子等元素,入口涼爽。此

當然,還少不是印度烤餅,這蒜蓉烤餅煙煙韌韌,配各種咖喱或豆蓉也相當好吃,而且,更可以無限添加的,讚呀。

前前後後也吃了多碟食物,不單用料不賴,而且烹煮有法,每款咖喱也各有獨特性,不會只得一個味道,再者,印度咖喱本身就是下了不少香料,對比其他國家的咖喱,又是另一種層次

最後,就是吃點生果,以及來一點甜,白色的不太知道是甚麼來,但不太甜,硬硬的,而另一件是以無花果及果仁所做得,非常好吃。

雖然,完全沒有打算到印度這國家旅行,不過,這回味遊印度,就十足滿足
